A little more info has come out about the forthcoming fifth Predator movie, Prey, from director Dan Trachtenberg.

20th Century Studios big boss Steve Asbell gave us a brief update while talking the bigger upcoming picture with THR.

The movie is set to launch this winter (that’s seasonally adjusted for Australia), and will be “set in the Great Plains in 1719”.

Yes, we’re talking origin story, with the tale set in the world of the Comanche Nation just over 300 years ago, in which female warrior Naru battles one of the first highly-evolved Predators to land on Earth. Apparently we can expect vibes along the lines of The Revenant.

Amber Midthunder (TV’s Legion) stars, alongside the likes of Dane DiLiegro, Stefany Mathias, Dakota Beavers and Stormee Kipp.
