Post-apocalyptic game series Fallout is set to make the jump from interactive experience to television show.
A Twitter tease let us know of the news. The project is being orchestrated by Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, and any further details are pretty thin on the ground currently.
We do have this joint quote from Nolan and Joy though: “Fallout is one of the greatest game series of all time. Each chapter of this insanely imaginative story has cost us countless hours we could have spent with family and friends. So we’re incredibly excited to partner with Todd Howard and the rest of the brilliant lunatics at Bethesda to bring this massive, subversive, and darkly funny universe to life.”
The world of Fallout is rich for inspiration, from its retro-future iconography through to the various storylines in the series since its debut back in 1997. Should it get off the ground, this could be one to watch.
