It appears that Quentin Tarantino may be taking a break from westerns in favour of bringing the Manson Family murders to the big screen.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that the director is in talks with several A-list types in regards to casting the flick, for which no title is as yet known. As well as writing his first script based on real life events, Tarantino will also direct the movie.
It’s believed that Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lawrence and Margot Robbie have all been approached, with Robbie most likely being looked at for the role of Sharon Tate. Brutally murdered at the hands of a group of Manson’s followers, Tate was eight-months pregnant at the time. Four other people in the house also lost their lives that night.
The story of Charles Manson has already been covered well in the TV series Aquarius. We daresay that if QT does indeed spin his own story based on the gruesome events that transpired back in 1969 they’ll be quite a bit bloodier.
