We’ve had sharknadoes, prehistoric shark attacks and all manner of huge monsters like Godzilla and Kong stomping about. Now it’s time for alligators to get their share of the movie pie in Crawl.
Produced by horror god Sam Raimi, and directed by Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes and, more appropriately, Piranha 3D), Crawl is the story of a father and daughter trapped.
More specifically, a huge hurricane has hit and left their place flooded. It’s also brought unwelcome visitors in the form of giant alligators. Will our plucky humans get to eat lunch again, or simply become it for the massive beasties?
Kaya Scodelario (the Maze Runner trilogy) stars as the daughter, while Barry Pepper takes on the role of the dad.
Crawl is set to frighten and delight(en) Aussie moviegoers from July 11.
