Unless you have peculiar dreams, you’ve likely never seen Margot Robbie as she appears in upcoming historical drama Mary Queen of Scots.
Actually, you’ve probably never seen her co-star, Saoirse Ronan, looking like she does in it either.
For those who don’t know the ins and outs of royal history, this is the biographical tale of an attempt by Mary Stuart (Ronan) to overthrow her cousin Elizabeth I, Queen of England (Robbie), which finds her condemned to years of imprisonment before facing execution.
Seriously though, how wild does Robbie look as Queenie? It’s a role previously played rather more comedically by Miranda Richardson in Black Adder. Who can forget her marvellous poetry?
Mary Queen of Scots is scheduled to rule over Australian cinemas come January 17, 2019.
