Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron may not be the first coupling that you think of when thoughts of romcoms enter your mind, but they’re the lead pair in the upcoming Long Shot.
If the trailer (below) is anything to go by, they have great chemistry, too.
Now, imagine your inner voice is that of the guy who does trailers…
“Fred Flarsky is a gifted and free-spirited journalist with an affinity for trouble. Charlotte Field is one of the most influential women in the world. Smart, sophisticated, and accomplished, she’s a powerhouse diplomat with a talent for… well, everything. The two have nothing in common, except that she was his babysitter and childhood crush.”
OK, enough of the voice. Anyway, Fred and Charlotte unexpectedly reconnect while the latter is preparing to make a run for the presidency, and Charlotte hires Fred as her speechwriter. It’s a romcom, so you know what happens then…
As well as Rogen and Theron, O’Shea Jackson Jr, Andy Serkis, June Diane Raphael, Bob Odenkirk and Alexander Skarsgård all star.
It should be noted that the trailer is rather NSFW, so here’s our big red LANGUAGE WARNING.
Long Shot – previously known as Flarsky – is set for an Australian cinema release on May 2.
