New movie trailers have been rather thin on the ground of late, so it’s nice to receive one. It’s even better that The King of Staten Island looks like it could be good.
The latest movie from Judd Apatow, it stars Saturday Night Live‘s Pete Davidson as Scott, whose life kind of froze at the age of seven following the death of his firefighter dad. As he’s now 24, it’s a bit of a problem – especially for his mother, as Scott’s still at home. But when his ma starts dating loudmouth firefighter Ray, it sets off a chain of events that forces Scott to deal with his grief and take his first steps at getting on with his life.
As well as Davidson, the film also stars Marisa Tomei, Steve Buscemi, Bill Burr, Bel Powley and Maude Apatow.
As for a date, the best that we can give you currently for an Aussie release is “coming soon”.
