Well, perhaps it’s more of a dribble – it’s to be known as Space Jam: A New Legacy.

Still, even if the title’s a bit uninspiring, the prospect of basketball megastar LeBron James and the Looney Tunes crew going at it on-court is still one that fills us with hope.

Space Jam: A New Legacy  is being directed by Terence Nance, who has a fine pedigree in indie films. Meanwhile, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler is amongst the producers and Don Cheadle has signed on to star alongside James.

The movie is currently scheduled for tip off in in cinemas from July 16, 2021.
