They threatened, and now they’re following through… Yes, video game arcade classic Frogger is getting its own television show. Really.

The show, hosted by Damon Wayans Jr. and Kyle Brandt, will feature real people playing the game competitively – but there’s a twist… They won’t be playing the arcade game, they’ll be doing Frogger things for real on any of 12 giant courses, dodging cars, jumping on logs and hoping not to get chomped by crocodiles. There’s US$100K up for grabs, so this is a Frogger that gives coin rather than absorbing it.

It may not come as a huge shock to learn that the idea was cooked up by the producers of Holey Moley.
