The band Sparks, featuring brothers Ron and Russell Mael, formed in 1967 and, sadly, most people have absolutely no clue who they are.

Super-fan Edgar Wright hopes to change this a little with his new documentary on the enigmatic band, The Sparks Brothers.

Hardly a hit machine – although their ace When I’m with You grazed Aussie charts back in 1980 – they have been incredibly influential, and are so much more than “that weird band with the bloke with the Hitler moustache”.

There’s no info on a release date for Wright’s documentary as yet, but we do now have a trailer featuring just some of Sparks’ famous fans:
