Horror flick The Grudge is returning to our screens soon in rebooted style, and it looks as creepy as all get out.

It all started with 2002’s Japanese movie, Ju-on: The Grudge. That had several sequels, as did the US remake (by the original Japanese director) that was simply titled The Grudge.

Anyway, having obviously not seen Frozen, The Grudge just won’t let it go, and is set to come back again. This time writing and directing duties are in the hands of Nicolas Pesce, who was previously responsible for both Piercing and The Eyes of My Mother. It’s been produced by no stranger to horror, Mr Sam Raimi.

The story of an entity inhabiting a house that hunts down and kills everybody who dares cross its threshold, this one stars Andrea Riseborough, Betty Gilpin, Jon Cho and Jacki Weaver.

The Grudge opens in Australian cinemas on January 30, 2020. Here’s the first official trailer:
