A new trailer has come to the table for the upcoming prequel movie to television mob titan The Sopranos, The Many Saints of Newark.

Intriguingly, this one’s soundtracked by the Flying Lizards’ unique 1979 take on the first ever Motown hit, Money (That’s What I Want).

The story is set to deal with the 1960s Newark turf wars between Italians and African-Americans, and will be centred around the rise of Tony Soprano – played by James Gandolfini’s son Michael – through his teenage years. Perhaps not surprisingly, the resemblance to his father is uncanny.

Also starring Alessandro Nivola, Vera Farmiga, Jon Bernthal, Billy Magnussen, Corey Stoll, Leslie Odom Jr., Michela De Rossi, John Magaro and Ray Liotta, The Many Saints of Newark is currently slated to arrive in Australian cinemas on November 4.

The new trailer below gives more of an idea what to expect.
