Truth becomes fiction as Steve Carell stars in an upcoming new comedy series entitled Space Force.
Yes, a certain US president’s baby has been plucked from the headlines to cop the treatment, and it has an impressive cast.
Beyond Carell, Space Force will also feature the likes of John Malkovich, Lisa Kudrow, Noah Emmerich, Ben Schwartz, Diana Silvers, Tawny Newsome, Fred Willard and Jimmy O Yang.
Carell is listed as co-creator alongside writer/producer Greg Daniels of The Office, Parks and Recreation and The Simspons infamy.
Here’s the official pitch: “A decorated pilot with dreams of running the Air Force, four-star general Mark R. Naird (Steve Carell) is thrown for a loop when he finds himself tapped to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: Space Force. Skeptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colourful team of scientists and “spacemen” are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance.”
Space Force is set to start airing later this month.
