There’s been a shortage of new movies this year for reasons we all know, so news that four new Blumhouse titles are hitting in one month is very good news indeed.

Coming to us under the umbrella title Welcome to the Blumhouse, the movies are:

The Lie: Peter Sarsgaard stars in this tale from director Veena Sud about a father and daughter on their way to dance camp who face dramas after picking up a hitchhiking friend.

Black Box: The debut feature from director Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour, this is a tale of a man struggling to regain his memory after surviving a tragic car accident. He’s desperate to get his life back and undertakes an experimental treatment that helps him probe the past – but is it actually his past?

Nocturne: Another debut feature, this time from director Zu Quirke, the story here revolves around a gifted pianist at a prestigious classical music institution who makes a deal with the devil to be better than her older sister.

Evil Eye: From the twin brother directorial team of Elan and Rajeev Dassani comes a tale about a superstitious mother who’s convinced that her daughter’s new boyfriend is the reincarnation of a man who tried to kill her 30 years ago.

The Welcome to the Blumhouse series begins screening from October 6.
