Absolutely nothing to do with buses, Greyhound was inspired by actual events in the early days of World War II.
Tom Hanks not only stars in the war flick, he also wrote the screenplay (based on a 1955 novel entitled The Good Shepherd, by Horatio Hornblower creator CS Forester).
The story tells of an international convoy of 37 Allied ships, led by captain Ernest Krause (Hanks), crossing the treacherous North Atlantic while hotly pursued by Nazi U-boats.
The movie also stars Elizabeth Shue, Stephan Graham, Rob Morgan and Karl Glusman.
Greyhound is set to hit Australian cinemas from May 7.
