When Boston Celtics’ Kyrie Irving went old (age) school as character Uncle Drew for a series of Pepsi shorts, there was probably no thought of it ever becoming a movie. But it has.

Harlem native Dax (Get Out‘s LilRel Howery) has hit the skids, losing his life savings and basketball team to his longtime rival. However, just when he thinks that all hope is lost, he stumbles across basketball legend Uncle Drew and convinces him to return for one more court date. It’s then time to get the band back together, as the pair road trip it to reassemble Drew’s old b-ball crew – including oldified Shaquille O’Neal, Chris Webber, Reggie Miller and Nate Robinson.

We’ve no Aussie release date yet, but Uncle Drew is set to hit US cinemas in late June. See it before the PC police start banging on about how “old face” make-up is somehow a bad thing…
