We’ve had a brief tease, now we have a full trailer for upcoming Batman spinoff Pennyworth, the story of Bruce Wayne’s butler.

Obviously, Alfred is no ordinary butler – if he was he likely wouldn’t get a TV series (with apologies to all those fine non-Batman knowing butlers out there who do bang-up jobs in their chosen profession).

Pennyworth is set to be a 10-episode series that follows Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon – seemingly doing his best Michael Caine impersonation), a former British SAS soldier who branches out into the world of security, and goes to work with Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge), Bruce’s billionaire father, in 1960s London.

The trailer has a great vibe – helped immensely by the presence of The Small Faces’ mega Tin Soldier – but we can’t shake the Michael Caine thing. Hopefully Pennyworth will blow our metaphorical bloody doors off when it launches at the end of July (well, overseas at least).
