Already the longest-running scripted primetime show on television ever, The Simpsons has just been picked up for two more seasons.
“¡Ay, caramba!”, indeed!
The show will now go on until at least a 34th season which, if they have the usual amount of episodes, will mean any future marathon will entail watching 757 episodes.
Said Matt Groening, the creator of The Simpsons (well duh!): “Everyone at The Simpsons is thrilled to be renewed once more, and we are planning lots of big surprises. Homer will lose a hair, Milhouse will get contact lenses, and Bart will celebrate his tenth birthday for the thirty-third time.”
This isn’t the only animated renewal at the now Disney-owned Fox, with Family Guy getting two more seasons (bringing it to 20) and Bob’s Burgers also getting two more, to bring it to 13 seasons.
