After the runaway success of the DCEU’s Wonder Woman, it was a certainty that a sequel would be planned. It’s definitely happening, and it now has a director attached.
In what will come as a surprise to next to nobody, Patty Jenkins will be returning to follow-up her box-office destroyer – as reported by Variety. On top of directing, she’ll also be producing and writing, and for her efforts Jenkins is rumoured to have made a deal that will make her the highest paid female director ever – and good on her!
As has previously been reported, Gal Gadot, who as most will know played the titular Wonder Woman, will also be returning.
The sequel is already slated for a December 2019 release. We guess they’d better get cracking then…
Meanwhile, the first Wonder Woman is out on DVD, Blu-ray and Ultra HD on September 20.
