Channing Tatum is set to suit, erm, down as male stripper Magic Mike Lane in a third and likely final movie in what will now be a trilogy.

How do we know this? Because the man himself told us so – along with the rest of the world – in this very tweet right here:

Judging by that title – Magic Mike’s Last Dance – it could be that this movie, coming at least ten years after the first, may be the last that we see of the buff bloke bumping and grinding on our screens.

Tatum told Deadline: “There are no words for how excited I am to blow the doors off of the world of Magic Mike with Steven, Greg, Reid, and the amazing people at HBO Max. The stripperverse will never be the same.”

The Steven he refers to is original series (we can call it that now) director Steven Soderbergh, Greg is Gregory Jacobs, who directed 2015’s Magic Mike XXL, and Reid is Reid Carolin, who’s written all three scripts.

There’s no projected release date for Magic Mike’s Last Dance yet.

While we wait, here’s some classic Mike:
