Liam Neeson may have received great reviews for his performance in Martin Scorsese’s religious art-house drama Silence, but it seems he’s not ready yet to give up the geriaction movies he has become famous for.
According to Variety, the Irish actor has signed up for Hard Powder, an action revenge movie set in the Rocky Mountains that goes in to production next month. He will play a snowplow driver who uses his heavy machinery to exact revenge on the local drugs kingpin responsible for the death of his son.
Neeson also recently wrapped The Commuter, a crime thriller that reunites him with Jaume Collet-Serra, who helmed his action hits Unknown, Non-Stop and Run All Night.
The Commuter is due in cinemas in October, but is likely to be preceded by the acclaimed fable A Monster Calls in June; Neeson voices the titular character. Silence, meanwhile, opens in cinemas on February 16.
