If you were unaware, there’s a Jumanji reboot on the way.
It’s got The Rock and Karen Gillan, but that’s not all.
Word on the street is – Jumanji isn’t a board game anymore. It’s a video game.
That makes sense, if they’re going for an updated, more modern version of the original, and it’s actually a fun way to put a spin on a classic.
According to The Wrap:
A group of misbehaving teens find the console during a detention session in their high school and are transported into the game itself where they take on altar-ego avatars played by Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and stunning newcomer Karen Gillan.
“Nooooooo!” I hear you screaming, Luke Skywalker-style. Who knows – it could be a nice new take on the concept. Time will tell. Jumanji hits cinemas December.
