From Jonathan Pryce and Julian Glover to Richard E. Grant and David Bradley, there are few veteran British actors who don’t have a Game of Thrones episode or season on their resume, although David Warner and Michael Gambon are two exceptions that immediately come to mind.

Jim Broadbent is the latest British treasure to join the series, and we’ll see him in Season Seven. Having appeared as Professor Slughorn in the Harry Potter franchise, Broadbent is well acquainted with magic, but his role in GoT is yet to be confirmed. Given his HP experience, he’d make a great maester.

With two seasons to go, there’s still room for Warner and Gambon. Watch this space…
