MI5 operative Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) is still in pursuit of the mysterious assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer).

Season one of this series mirrors the dramatic arc of Leonard Cohen’s Dance Me to the End of Love. In Cohen’s paean, obsession is at once euphoric and dangerous, and so it is in Killing Eve. Each woman is seduced by the other, there are innocent victims, and the jaw-dropping climax is a heady mix of sensuality and tragedy. The second season picks up the pieces from that shattering conclusion, and doesn’t miss a beat in maintaining its dark humour, pierced with Villanelle’s gruesome capacity for violence, and survival at all costs.  She wants to stay alive for revenge – and she is coming for Eve. If you love the dark art of espionage, this series is unmissable.
