It’s the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, and it’s coming to us in LEGO form this April thanks to Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Sure there have been several other Millennium Falcons released in blocky form, including this beauty, but this is the beast before it was modified – and became more, erm, well-loved.

Not only do we get a shiny new Millennium Falcon, but we also get younger-looking minifigures of Han Solo, Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian.

The new set – due for release in April – came as quite a surprise as LEGO dropped it out of the blue. Numbering 1414 pieces, it’s not as whopperous as other Millennium Falcons, but it also won’t have as whopperous a price tag.

Meanwhile, we were going to mention that parsecs are a measure of distance, not time, making Han’s quote seem a bit silly, but then we realised that we’d be opening a giant can of space worms, as numerous fan theories abound to explain it. So, we’re just going to stop now and give you this example of some people who don’t deserve to have nice things…

Solo: A Star Wars Story shooms into Australian cinemas on May 24.
