A bunch of the people behind the wonderful Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt are set to unleash a throwback pop tornado with Girls5Eva.
The eight-episode series was created by Meredith Scardino, and has both Tina Fey and Robert Carlock involved in the producing side of things.
As for story, it’s about a girl group who have their ’90s one hit wonder sampled by a rapper, which leads them to plan a reunion – one more chance at stardom!
Girls5Eva stars singer Sara Bareilles, Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton), comedienne Paula Pell and Busy Philipps (Freaks and Geeks – yay!), and yes there are only four of them now…
