It’s STACK‘s Friday Flick time, where each week we’ll recommend a slice of classic movie viewing that’s sure to get your weekend off to a great start. This week, it’s Step Brothers.
Two years after their hilarious pairing in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly combined their considerable talents once more, under the watchful eye of director Adam McKay. The result was a comedy that was possibly cringier – and even funnier – than their NASCAR-fuelled outing.
They each played 40 year olds – Brennan (Ferrell) and Dale (Reilly) – who still lived with their parents, and were quite satisfied with this cushy arrangement. But one day Brennan’s mommy met Dale’s daddy, and they knew that it was much more than a hunch, that this group must somehow form a family… that was absolutely nothing like the Brady Bunch!
Four reasons why Step Brothers rocks
2. Bunk beds.
3. Kathryn Hahn.
4. The f–cking Catalina Wine Mixer!
