The worlds of The Walking Dead and its spin-off series are more closely aligned in this season, with familiar players from the former crossing over.
Stick-fighter and speechmaker Morgan (Lennie James) takes over from the late Madison, leading FTWD’s group of survivors with a philanthropic agenda and a determination to make a difference in a world that’s gone to hell. Indeed, the mantra ‘Here to Help’ is the title of the season opener, but of course not everyone wants their assistance. Throw in a western flavour, a bit of Mad Max-style action, LOTS of Walkers, the return of another TWD character and a Rick Grimes easter egg, and the result is an incident-packed season that culminates in a sucker-punch finale.
