Married to Harrison Ford for ten years, Calista Flockhart need hardly worry about paying the mortgage or pursuing her career.

The couple met almost 19 years ago when the publicity-shy Flockhart was at the height of her TV success in the titular role of TV legal dramedy Ally McBeal. The whimsical series propelled her to become the “It Girl” of the late ‘90s/early 2000s, when Flockhart was pursued daily by the paparazzi, especially after she chose to adopt a son, Liam, as a single mum.

Enter her knight with a shining whip, Indiana Jones himself, effectively shielding the fame-weary Flockhart, who promptly quit her day job to become full-time mum to Liam Flockhart Ford, now 19.

Having met at the 2002 Golden Globes, Ford proposed on Valentine’s Day in 2009, tying the knot a year later in New Mexico – Ford’s third marriage and Flockhart’s first.

Both deeply private, Flockhart rarely does interviews, the couple keeping their distance from Hollywood on their 800-acre ranch in Jackson, Wyoming. She accompanies Ford, 78, whenever he works, the couple staying in their Brentwood mansion when forced to interrupt their idyllic country lifestyle and return to Los Angeles.

The 55-year-old actress was tempted out of self-imposed retirement to play the roles of Kitty Walker in TV drama Brothers & Sisters and  recurring character Cal Grant in Supergirl, but has not appeared on the big screen since the 2005 horror-thriller, Fragile.
