We loved her in ’80s and ’90s hits like St. Elmo’s Fire (1985), About Last Night (1988), Ghost (1990) and A Few Good Men (1992), but nowadays it’s a case of less, not Moore. So what happened?
Quite a bit, both on and off the screen. Once the highest paid actress in Hollywood, a string of box office flops like The Scarlet Letter (1995), G.I Jane (1997) and, er, Striptease (1996) was the beginning of a career nosedive for the former Mrs. Bruce Willis. The tabloids revelled in the fact she was dating Ashton Kutcher, who was 15 years her junior, and stints in rehab and allegations of diva-like behaviour became more newsworthy than an attempted comeback in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle (2003). And let’s be honest, starring opposite Miley Cyrus in a film called LOL (2012) wasn’t the best decision.
The now 56-year-old’s appearance has also changed dramatically, and while she strenuously denies any cosmetic work, a quick Google image search could have you suspecting that Demi is lying through her teeth – two of which she lost through stress, as she explained to Jimmy Fallon.
Her most recent screen appearance was in the TV series Empire (2017-18), which also starred her daughter, Rumer Willis.
