The release dates of many hotly anticipated films have been pushed back during Coronavirus cinema shutdowns. Here’s what to expect – and how to prepare for a glorious return to the multiplex.

One of the first Coronavirus casualties, the release of this adorable sequel has been pushed to Boxing Day, 2020. Based on Beatrix Potter’s beloved books, Rose Byrne and Domhnall Gleeson reprise their roles as Bea and Thomas. Now married, they share their garden with Margot Robbie’s Flopsy, Elizabeth Debicki’s Mopsy and friends, with James Corden returning as Peter Rabbit. And The Walking Dead’s Lenny James voices a new rabbit character, Barnabas, who wasn’t in any of Potter’s original stories.

A live action/animated combo, Peter simply cannot help himself – he will always be the naughtiest bunny in the burrow. Bored of life in the garden – and worried there will be no place for him once Bea and Thomas start their own human family – Peter runs away to the big city. Meeting with some shady characters as he escapes on a train, he thieves from farmers markets, creating chaos wherever he hops. His family risk everything to come looking for him as he figures out what kind of bunny he wants to be.

New release date: December 26, 2020
