Joss Whedon has reunited with some of his stars of the Avengers movies for a cool new ad for Hillary Clinton.
Robert Downey Jr, Scarlet Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Cobie Smulders, Clark Gregg and Don Cheadle are joined on the ‘Save The Day’ ad by the likes of Julianne Moore, James Franco, Martin Sheen and Stanley Tucci, along with TV stars such as Grey’s Anatomy’s Jesse Williams, Keegan-Michael Key and Neil Patrick Harris.
The campaign is aimed primarily at getting people out to vote, although the unashamedly pro-Clinton commercial is unlike to find many fans in the Donald Trump camp.
“It’s not about attacking because Donny’s real good at attacking himself,” Whedon told Hollywood Reporter. “It’s about getting people to vote, because it’s frightening the apathy that people are treating the most crucial election of their lifetimes with.”
Whatever your political views, it’s actually rather funny and works equally well as a spoof of all celebrity-endorsed political messages.
