If you didn’t know already, The Slow Mo Guys is a very cool YouTube channel and you should definitely check them out. 

They – Gavin Free (yes, Rooster Teeth‘s Gavin Free) and Daniel Charles Gruchy – produce very high quality videos of cool stuff in super slow motion. For example, a balloon popping, or glass shattering. They even did a bunch of mousetraps on a trampoline. It’s quite mesmerising, to be honest.

Anyway, Gav’s latest episode goes into the realm of television. Ever watched a TV on camera and it looks weird? It’s because your camera’s shutter speed doesn’t match the screen refresh rate on the TV. If that doesn’t make sense to you now, it will after you watch the video. It also goes onto show the difference between LED, LCD, and OLED colours on televisions.
