Corsair’s newest keyboard is arguably its prettiest – here’s the new K70 RGB MK.2 SE.
The Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 SE is a really long name for a keyboard; thankfully the kit itself is exemplary. It’s a mechanical gaming keyboard, and the SE comes in a stark, beautiful white finish; the only keyboard, in fact, that has attracted any morsel of attention from my coworkers out of the dozens that have adorned my desk. It may just be that white is uncommon, and not necessarily better looking, but it’s not leaving this desk any time soon.
The K70 SE is built from a durable aluminium frame, with cherry MX keys (a bit on the louder side) and per-key RGB backlighting customisable through Corsair’s wonderful CUE software. As we’ve said many times before, the best keyboards also include wrist rests, and this is no exception, and we’re also starting to gravitate towards media controls like dials and play-pause buttons as another necessity. It’s something so simple, yet essential for someone who listens to music all day.
The keyboard also features a handy USB passthrough for easy access to whatever you’re plugging in, and a nice textured space bar to make sure you can always find your way back to where you started from if you’re touchtyping.
With anti-ghosting and full key rollover, there isn’t really anything we can fault about the K70 SE. It’s truly a beautiful piece of tech.
