You may have often thought that famous basketballers have figurative big heads, now they’ve gone that way literally in the arcade-styled NBA 2K Playgrounds 2.
In the spirit of arcade classic NBA Jam (boomshakalaka!), 2K’s two-on-two arcade basketball game stars Hall of Famer Julius ‘Dr. J’ Erving, Kevin Garnett, Karl-Anthony Towns and Celtics star Jayson Tatum. It also brings new players, playgrounds and moves over the original.
Over 300 players will feature at launch – including legendary new additions like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. If that’s not enough, some 200 more are due to be added via updates following release.
Where to play? There are 10 playgrounds from around the world, including courts in Australia, Washington DC and Seoul. Like the player roster, additional courts are planned for post-release.
With over 100 signature moves, and new customisations coming out of its wazoo, NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 will also feature a banging soundtrack from the likes of Run the Jewels, Oddisee and DJ Premier.
NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 hits on PS4, Xbox One and Switch this October 16.
