As anybody vaguely fashion conscious from Melbourne will attest, you just can’t go past black. So, what about some Black Ops 4 in the world’s blackest room?
This is what we have here, as an assault upon Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 – which is out tomorrow – is undertaken in what’s being billed as “the world’s darkest room”.
We thought that was our games room with the blackout curtains down, but it turns out that we’re bush league compared to this.
The “room” featured here has been created from Vantablack, which is a super-black coating that holds the world record as the darkest substance made by man. Apparently it absorbs up to 99.965% of radiation in the visible spectrum.
A special version of Vantablack called VBx2 was applied to every wall of a unique gaming space for the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
It’s all rather silly – we initially thought that it was a gag – but at least it’s something different promo-wise.
