The much-anticipated PS4-exclusive reboot of God of War, starring the one and only Kratos, has finally been given a release date.
It’s not too far away, either, with the big guy set to be let loose come April 20.
The date was revealed on the PlayStation blog this morning by the game’s creative director, Cory Barlog. Needless to say, he’s excited that we’ll all get to experience his and his team’s work soon.
“First, let me say that this is my favorite release day of my entire career. If I live to be 100, I do not think I will be able to top this release day. There has been a long journey just to reach this point, so it’s a little bittersweet to think that we are only a few months away from that journey finally coming to an end. While I am sad, I am also excited because it means everyone will get their hands on this crazy adventure we have been crafting for nearly five years!”
To celebrate the announcement, here’s a new trailer, which gives us more insight into Kratos and Atreus’ journey…
