The wild ride that is Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding finally hits the PS5 this week, complete with a whole bunch of new stuff that’s been dubbed a “Director’s Cut” – even though he doesn’t like the term.

As well as being prettied-up, in this mix of the delivery simulator we get advanced combat, new locations, extra missions (including vehicle racing, because why not?) and minigames, an extended storyline and a whole bunch more – it was a bonkers experience originally, and things have really been turned up to 11 this time out.

Good news for those who are already partway into the game is that PS4 saves are transferable to PS5, although there is a charge to upgrade to PS5 – but that does, of course, include a big bunch of extra content, so it isn’t really grumble-worthy.
