Following the recent announcement that the Tokyo Game Show will be a virtual affair for a second year running, the E3 people have announced the same thing for their annual shindig.
It isn’t surprising considering the state of the world currently, but it is disappointing, with last year’s online affair being a bit of a fizzer.
Big names including Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, Koch Media, Konami, Take-Two, Ubisoft and Warner Bros. have all pledged their loyalty to this year’s event, but obviously there are some really big names absent from that list. Hopefully the likes of Sony, SEGA, Bandai Namco and Activision will get involved, although Sony pulled out of last year’s E3 even before COVID happened.
E3 2021 is set to take place from June 12 to June 15.
