Aardman have given us many wonderful animated tales over the years, and now they’re involved with a new WWI game – 11-11: Memories Retold – that looks like it just may bring all the feels.
Working in collaboration with France’s DigixArt, the big names don’t stop at the Wallace & Gromit creators, with actors Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings trilogy) and Sebastian Koch (Bridge of Spies) giving voice to the game’s two main characters.
Wood plays Harry, a Canadian-American photographer who joins WWI, only to discover the realities of war on the frontlines. Koch is Kurt, a pacifist who is driven by duty.
The story-driven adventure will allow players to explore various painting-like scenes, which have been inspired by true events. Players will be able to experience two sides of WWI, confronting the grim realities of war while trying to preserve their humanity.
11-11: Memories Retold is due for release on November 9 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
