It’s no E3, but Gamescom is still a pretty big deal on the annual gaming calendar. As such a lot of trailers are let loose, many giving us further insight into games that we’ve only previously seen teases of. Here are 10 of the best of Gamescom 2017, so far…
Part of the EA Originals program which gave us the cute Unravel, forest tale Fe is from Sweden’s Zoink, who also gave us the very cool Stick it to the Man and Zombie Vikings.
Cool, another soccer game… Just kidding! FIFA‘s the king, of course, and we get a bit of Blue Monday jammed into this latest trailer. We’d love to see some more gameplay footage though.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2
They could make a LEGO game about little bricky minifigure people who watch paint dry and we’d be in, but when it’s more Marvel Super Heroes we’ll be, erm, even more in!
Middle-earth: Shadow of War
Shadow of Mordor came from nowhere and surprised many with its sheer goodness. This sequel may have a larger weight of expectation, but so far it’s looking so good.
Need for Speed Payback
Fast cars going fast – it’s the Need for Speed model, and from what we’ve seen so far it looks like this one will give the Fast and the Furious movie franchise a run for its money.
Ni no Kuni: Revenant Kingdom
Doesn’t this look gorgeous? It may have been delayed, but each time we see more of it we’re increasingly confident that it will be worth the wait.
Pokkén Tournament DX
Switch time – getting those Poké-characters going the biff looks like it will be a whole lot of fun.
Project CARS II
Fast cars go… oh, we already went there. More sim than arcade blast, the first Project CARS stunned us – and what we’ve seen of its sequel so far is very impressive.
Announced with much fanfare, this very long-awaited sequel to two Dreamcast classics has a lot of expectation to live up to. Here’s our first real taste of it.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus
Another day, another Wolfy trailer – and our anticipation for this Nazi-blasting romp grows and grows.
