The Xbox showcase at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany has just wrapped up, with some announcements to have the X-faithful very excited – most notably including the release date of the super-powered Xbox One X.

November 7 is the day, and if you’re quicker than quick you can pre-order now to reserve a limited edition ‘Project Scorpio’ version – that being the codename for the machine while in development. Pre-order the Xbox One X: Project Scorpio Edition now at JB Hi-Fi.

If you haven’t had a chance to check the new console out, in quick summary it claims to pack 40% more power than any other console, with six teraflops of graphics processing oomph. It also includes a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player built-in, and is backwards compatible with all Xbox One games and accessories. A bunch of games will be optimised for the unit, boasting HDR and 4K support.
