Are you ready for a racing game with a difference? If so, the red hot Onrush just may be your new jam.
Developed by Codemasters with a bunch of the people behind MotorStorm and DriveClub, it takes the genre and changes it up a gear.
For starters there’s no start or finish line. The emphasis in Onrush lies in team play, with teammates having to work together, harnessing their vehicles’ various strengths and weaknesses to grab the win.
In many ways it’s like a vehicular Overwatch.
“We set out to create a racing game that was designed to be played together, with friends and against rivals,” says Paul Rustchynsky, Onrush‘s game director. “A game that’s inclusive, so people of all skill levels can enjoy playing together, including those that typically don’t play racing games, achieved by keeping players at the heart of the action at all times.”
Housing plenty of content, Onrush offers up four innovative game modes – “Overdrive”, “Switch”, “Lockdown” and “Countdown” – along with 12 multi-route locations, and features a single player mode as well as the core multiplayer.
Onrush is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
