The latest motorcycle racer on the block hits today, and it recreates the classic TT Isle of Man event down to every racing line.
Obviously we aren’t able to make that claim with any prior knowledge of fanging around the track, but when 23-time TT winner John McGuinness says as much, we’re prepared to take his word for it.
“This game is quite fantastic. Lines are perfect, I can really use mine. It gives you an incredible feeling of speed, thanks also to the sound of the wind. And it will be 100% helpful for Isle of Man newcomers.”
The officially licensed game delivers a faithful reproduction of the entire 60.72 kilometres and 264 bends of the Snaefell Mountain, along with nine fantasy tracks. 23 riders – including Australia’s David Johnson – are packed in, along with 40 official motorbikes from manufacturers such as Norton, BMW, Triumph, Honda and Kawasaki.
Up to eight players can compete against each other online, while a career mode allows the unlocking of new motorbikes and the opportunity to win the legendary Isle of Man Tourist Trophy to pop on your mantelpiece – or wherever you happen to keep your shiny awards.
Did we tell you that it’s out today? Yes, yes we did – TT Isle of Man is available for both PS4 and Xbox One. Let’s ride!
