Fortnite, from Epic Games, goes from strength to strength, and it will be returning to the Melbourne Esports Open this year.
Fans of the game will be able to join the action on an expanded Fortnite Stage in Margaret Court Arena, with heaps of the action broadcast in front of both a live audience and online. Attendees will also have the opportunity to play alongside popular content creators, including The Misfits, with open tournaments running throughout both show days.
Gamers will also be able to get their hands on 20 consoles worth of Fortnite in the Fortnite Free-Play Field, an area within JB Hi-Fi’s Game On Zone. It’s taking over Melbourne Arena this year to offer gamers more hand-on gaming and more space in which to check out all the latest.
If you’re into Fortnite more for the dancing than the survival, the all-ages dance comp may be your jam. Get up on stage and drop your fave Fortnite dance moves, and be in the running to score cool prizes.
Last year’s inaugural Melbourne Esports Open went off, with some 12,000 esports fans attending across the two days. This year’s MEO will be bigger and even better, taking over Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, Melbourne Arena and Grand Slam Oval.
