A new trailer has arrived for new Bethesda IP Ghostwire: Tokyo, and it’s looking gloriously bat poop bonkers.
First unveiled at E3 back in 2019, it’s being developed by Tango Gameworks in Japan, with original Resident Evil director Shinji Mikami at the helm. It’s an action/adventure in which players fight paranormal enemies and general supernatural evil. The player is tasked with working out just why people are vanishing.
Here’s the official story: “Tokyo is overrun by deadly supernatural forces, perpetrated by a dangerous occultist known as Hannya, causing Tokyo’s population to vanish in an instant. Ally with a powerful spectral entity on their quest for vengeance and master a powerful arsenal of abilities to unravel the dark truth behind the disappearance as you FACE THE UNKNOWN.”
Plus, we’ll be able to pat dogs!
Ghostwire: Tokyo is due in the first half of 2022.
