A trailer has arrived for a sequel to Groundhog Day, but before anybody gets grumpy about it, it’s a virtual reality game, not a movie.
Speaking of grumpy, there’s no sign of Bill Murray, either.
Instead, Groundhog Day: Like Father Like Son skips forward a generation. Players will play as Phil Connors, Jr, who is living in the shadow of his rather famous dad in the little old town of Punxsutawney. He ends up getting stuck in his own repeated day cycle thing, and we’re guessing that the aim will be to smash that very cycle.
Groundhog Day: Like Father Like Son is set to hit for PlayStation VR, as well as PC variants, later this year.
