It’s holiday time within holiday time, as Animal Crossing: New Horizons gets a new free update today.
This one adds two very classic holidays to proceedings in, erm, “Turkey Day” on November 26, and “Toy Day” on December 24. There are no prizes for guessing which real world holidays these correspond with. They do look like great fun though.
As well as a whole bunch of features centred around these two days, the update also adds new reactions and hairstyles, a home storage limit upgrade, the ability to visiting random islands in dreams and more. There’s even an Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp collaboration to commemorate the app’s third anniversary, with a special smartphone model available in-game.
Also, players will finally be able to transfer resident data to another system. This includes the resident’s name, appearance and equipment, along with their inventory, home and storage. A separate whole island transfer feature will enable players to move their user save data, along with the island itself and all the residents, to another system.
