Melbourne-based studio Big Ant are set to release Cricket 19 – The Official Game of the Ashes in May – and we couldn’t be happier.

2019 is going to be a big year in cricket. First up is the ODI World Cup swiftly followed by the greatest sporting rivalry in the world when Australia take on England in the Ashes. Now we have the perfect accompaniment to get us through the long, late winter nights.

Following on (pun intended) from the successful Ashes Cricket (2017), Cricket 19 will feature all formats of the game across both men’s and women’s teams. The game is set to feature significant improvements to the AI and career mode while introducing a new scenario mode that allows players to participate in some of the greatest cricket matches in history. And to top it off, it will also release on Nintendo Switch.

“We have the most active and passionate community. Many of our players logged thousands of hours with our previous cricket titles, and Cricket 19 is very much built on the experience of those players,” said Ross Symons, CEO at Big Ant.

“Whether you’re looking to enjoy a 20-year cricket career that takes you from the club level to captaining the national team, re-create an ODI or IT20 series or take part in the Ashes, or just bash some balls around with friends, Cricket 19 has you covered.”

The game will initially be launched on Ps4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch with a PC version to follow. Roll on May!
