Looking at Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and wishing it was populated with your favourite manga and anime characters going the biff instead? Well, say hello to Jump Force!
This exciting-looking brawler from Bandai Namco will see the ultimate heroes from Japanese manga and anime uniting to save Earth. Hey, cheers guys, we do kind of like Earth.
So, who’s included? Try the greatest heroes and villains from the 50-year history of Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump manga!
As such, some of the worlds that will be hooking up are those of Dragon Ball Z, One Piece and Naruto. Players will be able to put together three-character manga/anime dream tag teams, and set them battling in arenas featuring famous landmarks including New York City’s Times Square and the Matterhorn in the Alps.
“Jump Force provides an incredible opportunity for players to discover the rich universe of Shueisha and battle in iconic real-world locations,” said Hervé Hoerdt, the vice president of marketing and digital at Bandai Namco, Europe. “To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Shōnen Jump, Shueisha and Bandai Namco are bringing together some of the most beloved manga and anime franchises of all time. We can’t wait to unveil more details on Jump Force in the coming months.”
Jump Force is heading for PS4 and Xbox One in 2019.
